I also am thinking of having both your bots
One for trending market and one for correction / sideways
My questions are below1 ) would you do a discount if I take both
2 ) are the bots capable of identifying the market OR do they need manual intervention and turning on when it is trending (bot 1) and turning on when it is ranging (bot 2)Hi Jamie,
Thanks so much for your thoughtful questions — I appreciate your interest in my bots!
- Funding Accounts & Max Drawdown (10%)
Both bots are designed with strict equity-based drawdown protection:
You can set Max Drawdown % = 10% in the parameters
The bot will automatically close all positions and stop if this threshold is breached
This aligns perfectly with The5ers’ and other prop firm rules- Which Bot to Use & Market Conditions
SAL-V03-Gold-CMA-Pro: Best for trending markets (uses EMA crossover + momentum confirmation)
SAL-V03-Gold-Reversion-Pro: Best for ranging/corrective phases (mean-reversion logic)
Important: Neither bot auto-detects market regime. You’ll need to run the appropriate bot based on current Gold behavior (which you can identify via price action or higher-timeframe analysis).- Using Both Bots
Yes! Many traders run both strategies on separate charts:
One chart with CMA Pro (for trends)
Another with Reversion Pro (for ranges)
Only one will be active at a time based on market conditions
4. Discount for Both
All pricing is managed through the official cTrader Store to ensure security, updates, and refund eligibility.
However, I can confirm that buying both gives you access to the full Gold strategy suite — and both include free trials so you can test them risk-free first!Next Step:
Test SAL-V03-Gold-Reversion-Pro (free trial live now)
SAL-V03-Gold-CMA-Pro will be live very soon — I’ll notify you when it’s available
Let me know if you have technical questions — I’m happy to help you configure for your funding account!Best regards,

Hi Sal,
Let’s use an example
The 5ers is account size 20k leverage 30 x
Max draw down is 6% for the account and that’s 3% on a trading day only
How would you set this up so you only do 1% max drawdown?
And what would your lot size be on 1%? So
20,000 account - 200 max loss?
Also do they both run on the 15m timeframe only? If so, what timeframe would you look at to identify trending or range bound?Hi Jamie,
Following up on my earlier message — I wanted to clarify an important point:
The Store bots I described (SAL-V03-Gold-CMA-Pro and Reversion-Pro) are standardized products designed for general use. They include drawdown protection and are fully functional as-is.
However, your specific request — auto-calculating lot size based on your $20K account, enforcing The5ers’ daily loss limits, and broker-specific calibration — requires custom development work that goes beyond the scope of a public Store product.
Best regards,
Samir- In reply tojamieharish90⬆:
Hi Jamie,
Thanks for the clear example — let’s address each point exactly for your The5ers 20K account:
-
How would you set this up so you only do 1% max drawdown?
======================================================
→ In either Gold bot (SAL-V03-Gold-CMA-Pro or SAL-V03-Gold-Reversion-Pro), set:
Parameter: “Max Drawdown %” = 1.0
→ The bot monitors equity-based drawdown and will auto-close all positions + stop if loss reaches 1% ($200) from peak equity. -
What would your lot size be on 1%? So, 20,000 account – $200 max loss?
=========================================================
→ Both Gold bots use 200- pip Stop Loss (not 900 — that’s for BTCUSD).
→ For XAUUSD on cTrader:
- 1 standard lot = 100 oz
- Tick value = ~$0.10 per 0.01 pip → $10 per full pip
- Risk per lot = 200 pips × $10 = $2,000
→ To risk exactly $200 (1%):
Lot Size = $200 ÷ $2,000 = 0.10 lots
→ Use 0.10 lots — this aligns perfectly with your 1% risk rule. -
Important: Cross-Broker Considerations
Broker & Leverage Differences
=====================================Trading conditions vary across brokers (spreads, commissions, liquidity) and leverage levels.
Parameter sets optimized on one broker (e.g., IC Markets with 1:1000 leverage) may behave differently on another broker or leverage setting.
It is recommended to re‑align and re‑optimize the cBot according to your own broker and leverage setup.
Optimization Best Practice
Regular optimization helps the cBot maintain peak efficiency and maximize profitability.
Minor version updates don’t require immediate re‑optimization, but it’s good practice after major changes or market shifts.
Your actual risk per lot may vary slightly by broker due to:
Tick size differences (e.g., 0.01 vs 0.1 for XAUUSD)
Contract size (most cTrader brokers = 100 oz, but confirm yours)
Execution model (netting vs hedging affects position handling)Recommendation:
Run a 1-trade test on your live The5ers account:
- Open 0.10 lots manually
- Check “Risk per pip” in trade ticket
Adjust lot size if needed to ensure ≤$200 max loss
Both bots are tested and optimized for Monaxa & Spotware, but always validate on your specific broker.4.. Do they both run on the 15m timeframe only?
→ Yes. Both Gold bots are optimized exclusively for M15. Do not use on other timeframes without re-optimization.
5.. What timeframe would you look at to identify trending or range bound?
→ Use H1 (1-hour) chart to determine market regime:
- Trending: Clear higher highs/lows + EMA (50) sloping up/down → use CMA-Pro
- Ranging: Price oscillating between horizontal support/resistance → use Reversion-Pro
→ Run only one bot at a time based on H1 structure.Important:
Always verify your broker’s XAUUSD contract specs (most cTrader brokers = 100 oz/lot)
Test settings in demo first using your exact broker
Both bots have free trials — test risk-free before live use
Let me know if you need help confirming your broker’s gold specs!Best regards,
Samir- Jjamieharish90

Hi Jamie,
IF YOU STILL WANT TO GET OPTIMIZED SETTINGS FOR SAL-02-Max-CMA-Gold-250-Full-Optimized, HERE IS MY RECOMMENDATIONS:
Optimized for robustness:
• Stop Loss reduced to 200 pips, Take Profit to 400 pips (2:1 ratio)
• Default risk set to 0.5% (conservative) — increase only if your account supports it
• Fixed risk calculation for accurate XAUUSD position sizing
• All safety features (drawdown protection, Friday close) remain active”Following user feedback, default SL/TP now uses a 2:1 ratio (200/400 pips) — even tighter and more responsive than the 250/500 example previously suggested.”

Hello
Does the bot only use the parameters shown in the demo video?
If so, why do I not just create my own bot doing the same as there are not a lot of parameters. Also, if I had a 10,000 dollar account what would you recommend the settings to be?
Also, how do I see back test results?I bought a gold bot on here and I’m now looking for another
Hi Jamie,
Thank you for your interest in SAL-02-Max-CMA-Gold-250-Full-Optimized, and great questions!
Let me address them clearly:
About SAL-02-Max-CMA-Gold-250-Full-Optimized:
This bot uses a fully optimized Centered Moving Average (CMA) strategy, designed specifically for Gold’s ranging and corrective market phases.
All parameters are fixed to preserve performance integrity — based on extensive testing across 2020–2025 market cycles.
The logic triggers trades when price deviates significantly from the CMA baseline (the “250” refers to this core filter).
It’s built for “set and forget” operation on XAUUSD (M15), with internal risk controls and auto-shutdown safeguards.
It is a stable, approved product on the cTrader Store and functions as designed. That said — based on user feedback and further optimization, I’ve recently expanded the Gold strategy family with two enhanced, trial-enabled versions that may suit your needs even better:
My Recommendations for You
- Try Now: SAL-V03-Gold-Reversion-Pro (Live + Free Trial)
Strategy: Pure mean-reversion logic (different from CMA)
SL/TP: 200/400 pips — ideal for $1k–$20k accounts
Free trial available now — test it risk-free
Search in cTrader Store: SAL-V03-Gold-Reversion-Pro
2.Try Tomorrow: SAL-V03-Gold-CMA-Pro (New Listing + Free Trial)
Strategy: Refined CMA logic — evolved from the V02 foundation
SL/TP: Also 200/400 pips — more practical sizing Will include a free trial
Launching within 24 hours: lINK: "https://ctrader.com/products/3199?u=Salileh" SAL-V03-Gold-CMA-Pro
Both are part of the same optimized gold trading family but use distinct strategies — so you can test both and see which aligns with your style.
Final Note
If you’re just starting with gold bots, I’d recommend testing the Reversion-Pro trial today, and checking back tomorrow for the new CMA-Pro trial. This way, you get hands-on experience before any purchase.Thank you again for your interest — I’m here if you have more questions!

I’m wondering if you would help me configure this with my funding accounts from the 5ers etc?
Is this something you would say works ( remember max draw down on accounts is 10% )
Let me know your thoughts
I’m a bit confused on one which you are recommending to use and why lol

I have a question. I want to set the take profit and stop loss ratio to 2:1, but even when I change SL and TP, it doesn’t apply and always enters as 1:1. Also, when I see 4000 and 7000 pips, I understand the intention, but in reality, if those are stop losses, it would only take a couple of trades to get liquidated because the amount is so large. If it’s profit, that would be great, but the risk-reward ratio being 1:1 is concerning. Is there a solution? Please contact me at blastorm78@gmail.com.
Hi Blastorm,
Following up on your question — we ran internal tests to compare settings:
With UseRiskPercent = true (1% risk per trade):
Position size adapts to your account equity and stop loss
In strong trends, larger positions may be taken, which can lead to faster target achievement — but also higher drawdown if the market reverses
With UseRiskPercent = false (fixed 0.01 lots):Every trade uses the same small size, resulting in slower equity growth but much smoother drawdown
Key takeaway:
The bot does not guarantee speed or profit — it simply executes your chosen risk method. We strongly recommend starting with UseRiskPercent = true and 1% risk (as it’s more responsive to market conditions), but only after testing in the demo with your own account size.
Remember: higher position sizing = higher risk, even with the same SL/TP.
Best regards,
Samir- In reply toBlastorm⬆:
Hi Blastorm,
Thanks for your message — it’s a great opportunity to clarify how SAL-02 manages risk.
1.The 4000/7000 values you see are maximum possible levels for extreme trends (e.g., Gold during major news), not typical stops.
- In practice, the bot rarely holds positions long enough to reach those levels because:
It uses tight entry filters (MA cross + 100-pip move + RSI confirmation)
The demo version auto-stops at $120 profit
The full version includes trailing logic and equity protection
3. To get 2:1 risk-reward, simply set:
StopLossPips = 250 and TakeProfitPips = 500 in the parameters4.We always recommend testing in the free demo first — you’ll see that actual drawdown per trade is modest, even with wide defaults.
This bot is designed for trend continuation in Gold — where multi-thousand-pip moves do occur over weeks. But you control the risk via parameters.
Best regards,
Samir

Subject: Re: SAL-V02-Gold – Setup Guidance
Dear Blastorm,
Thank you for your purchase and feedback. I appreciate your patience.
Timeframe: Use M15 or H1 chart on XAUUSD — this is the only supported setup.
Parameters: The bot is "optimized" in design (logic + safety), not pre-tuned for profit. Default parameters are ready to use — no optimization needed. For a $1,000 account at 1:500 leverage, keep Initial Quantity ≤ 0.10 lots.
Indicators not showing? Right-click your chart → “Indicators” → ensure no other indicators are blocking the MA/RSI. The bot does not auto-add them — you must add them manually for visibility (they’re only used internally).
⚠️ Important: This bot trades only on strong trend confirmations — it may stay idle during choppy markets. Do not expect frequent trades.I’m here to help you use it correctly. Please give it time under live conditions, and feel free to reply with your chart screenshot if indicators still don’t appear.

To help you get the best results, I’ve prepared a quick setup guide
For your $1,000 account, try:Initial Quantity: 0.05 lots
Max Equity Drawdown %: 15–20%
Min Pips Move: 50–100 (lower in strong trends, higher in choppy markets)
Remember: the bot may stay idle for hours or days — it only trades high-conviction setups. Please watch the attached link back test video as a guideline, the cbot will not trigger trades immediately, waits for conditions to meet then executes accordingly, only adjust the DD% and lot size corresponding to account magnitude and risk limitations you can handle, my recommendations start with 0.01-0.05 lot. Min pips movement after crossing can be adjusted according to market behavior (50-100). https://screenrec.com/share/T8WlDOAwPN
