        Hi Aiman

How do i use the cbot on multiple accounts on ctrader (demo prop firm accounts) - it has a limitation of only 1 demo account?

            Hi Varun,

Great question! To run the cBot on multiple demo/prop firm accounts simultaneously, follow these steps:

Open cTrader and go to Settings (gear icon)

Navigate to Start-up under the Application section

Select "Multiple profiles" — this allows you to run multiple cTrader instances, each with its own independent settings file (profile)

            Restart cTrader

Now you can open two (or more) cTrader instances side by side, each logged into a different demo/prop firm account

In each instance, attach the cBot and select the relevant account for that profile

This way, each cTrader instance operates independently with its own configuration, so the 1-demo-account limitation per instance won't be an issue anymore.

Is there a way to have this for multiple pairs? I tested it and it only allows me to add one pair. Or is there a setting I am missing that will block the entire account rather than specific asset classes?

                  Hi aayfx97,

Great question! RiskGuardian works at the account level, not per pair. You only need to attach it to one chart, and it will monitor and enforce limits across your entire account — all pairs and all asset classes.

You don't need to add it to multiple pairs. Just attach it once to any chart, configure your limits, and it will track your total account PnL, trade count, and consecutive losses across everything.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

Hey, after reaching my daily loss limit or my daily number of consecutive losses I can still enter into a new trade it just gets closed automatically right away loosing more money with every trade. Am I doing something wrong? Isn't this designed to stop me from entering any more trades after triggering the preset conditions?

                        astevlikova,
Thanks for reaching out! You're not doing anything wrong — this is actually a known limitation of how cTrader handles automated risk controls.
The cBot cannot physically block you from manually opening a trade in the platform — that's a cTrader limitation. What RiskGuardian does once a limit is hit is immediately close any new position the moment it's opened (this is the "Hard Lock" behavior), which means:

You open a trade manually after the limit is triggered.
The cBot detects it and closes it right away.
Unfortunately, the spread and any market slippage from that open/close cycle results in a small loss each time.
To avoid this, here's what I recommend:

Enable Hard Lock mode if you haven't already — this also cancels pending orders and is the most aggressive protection layer.
After a limit is triggered, trust the system and stop trading manually. The bot is doing its job — it's flagging that your session rules have been hit.
Treat the alert/banner notification as your own personal "walk away" signal.

True account blocking (preventing order placement entirely) would require broker-level API access that cTrader does not currently expose to third-party cBots.
If you'd like, I can look into whether future versions can add an even more visible on-screen warning to make it harder to "accidentally" open a trade after a lock is triggered. Your feedback is really valuable for improving the tool!
Let me know if you have any other questions

                          Hi sir,

Does it have a feature where it only allows one trade at once so you can't emotionally overload

                              Hi, great question!
RiskGuardian is designed exactly for this kind of emotional protection.
You can set strict risk limits (daily loss, number of trades, or max drawdown), and once those limits are hit, the cBot will automatically block any further trading for the rest of the session. This way, you can’t continue opening new trades out of emotion or revenge-trading, and your account stays protected while you cool down and follow your plan.

                                Hi,

Does the platform allow us to lock the settings with a password?
We trade as a team, and one person will manage the limits. Ideally, we’d like to secure those settings so the trader can’t change them.

                                Regards

                                    2025-11-20 17:04:01.606Z

At this stage, it is not possible to lock the RiskGuardian_Limits_V2 settings with a password or restrict changes by using a password within the platform itself. The settings are accessible to any user running the cBot, so anyone with access to the trading account and platform can modify them.

If a future update provides password protection for the settings, we will let you know.

                                      Hi,

does it work when the bot is installed on the cloud and is being used on the ipad iphone ?
does it work even if demo account only allow one instance of the cbot thus one pair linked to it ?

                                          Hi,

Yes — RiskGuardian_Limits_V2 works perfectly when hosted on cTrader Cloud, even if you monitor or manage your account from an iPad or iPhone.
Once the bot is uploaded and running on the cTrader Cloud, it operates 24/7 independently of your device, so you don’t need to keep your desktop open.

                                          Regarding the demo limitation:
If your broker allows only one active cBot instance per demo account, you can still attach RiskGuardian to any single chart — it monitors the entire account (all symbols and timeframes).
That means you don’t need to attach it to every pair. One instance is enough.

                                          Summary:

                                          Works via Cloud hosting.

Fully functional when using iPad/iPhone (no need to keep PC open).

One active instance protects the full account.

Thank you for your quick answer.

Although, I had it running on the mobile on cloud, and i would still be able to do some trades even though the limit was reached. Do you have an idea why ?

Are there recommended VPS specs or ping requirements?

The bot does not require any special resources and will work well on any standard VPS used for automated trading on cTrader.
