Thank you again for releasing version 1.5 so quickly and for trying to improve macOS compatibility.
I have now uninstalled the previous version, installed v1.5, and tested it for several more hours on cTrader Desktop 5.9 (140) for macOS.
Unfortunately, I’m still encountering several issues:
- The POC Expand/Contract button does not perform any action.
- After disabling or removing the indicator, the Fixed Range Volume Profile remains permanently attached to the chart.
- The profile is not listed under Indicators or Drawings, so it cannot be removed normally.
- Refreshing the chart, restarting cTrader, and reopening the workspace do not remove it.
The only solution I have found is to delete the entire chart and create a new one.
I’ll attach screenshots showing both the non-functional button and the volume profile remaining on the chart after the indicator has been disabled.
I appreciate your willingness to investigate the macOS issues, and I’m happy to continue helping with testing if needed. However, at the moment the indicator is unfortunately still not usable on my setup.

I contacted cTrader Support regarding this issue. They confirmed that the warning message and its parameters are part of the indicator itself, not the cTrader platform, so they were unable to identify which setting hides it.
They advised me to contact you directly, as only the developer can confirm:
- Which parameter hides the warning message.
- Whether this is a known issue on macOS.
- Whether an updated version or workaround is available.
For reference, I’m using cTrader Desktop 5.9 (140) on macOS. The VP, SessVP, FR, VWAP and Dev buttons are already visible and functioning, but the large red warning remains permanently displayed across the chart despite stating it can be hidden via the indicator parameters.
I’d appreciate any guidance. Thank you.

Hi! I recently purchased your Volume Profile indicator for cTrader.
I’m using cTrader Desktop 5.9 (140) on macOS.
The indicator displays the large red Mac warning. I also can’t find the parameter mentioned in the warning to hide it.
Could you please advise if this is a bug or if I’m missing a setting? Thanks!Hello nemesisnicks,
The name of the parameter is "macOS Alert Message", it is the third parameter of this indicator. Set that to NO and the warning message will disappear.
Then use the shortcuts to use the indicator.- Nnemesisnicks
Thank you for your reply.
I have spent the last couple of hours testing different settings, including setting “macOS Alert Message” to No and clicking Apply, but unfortunately it hasn’t resolved the issue.
In fact, after changing the setting and experimenting with the indicator, the volume profiles are no longer visible on the chart at all.
Could you please share either a short screen recording or a few screenshots showing this indicator running on cTrader Desktop 5.9 (140) for macOS? It would be very helpful to compare my setup with a known working configuration.
If there are any specific settings I should be using, I’d be happy to try them. Thank you for your assistance.
Hello @nemesisnicks,
I believe you are using another indicator on your chart that could be conflicting with this one.
These buttons: VP/SessVP/FR/VWAP/Dev buttons does not belong to this indicator.I don't have access to a mac right now, so I will need your help to fix this.
I just uploaded a new version for this indicator, please uninstall the old one, and download the new version (1.5)
You can download the new version in the Finances tab of your account (ctrader.com/account/finances)I removed the warning message, and changed how the buttons are rendered on the chart.
That should fix the problems, but I need your confirmation.- Nnemesisnicks
Thank you for your reply and for uploading version 1.5.
I have uninstalled the old version, downloaded version 1.5 from the Account tab, and tested it again on cTrader Desktop 5.9 (140) on macOS.
Unfortunately, the problem is still not resolved. After applying the new version and testing the settings, the indicator is still not displaying properly on my chart. I also understand now that the VP/SessVP/FR/VWAP/Dev buttons belonged to another indicator, so I have tested your indicator separately to avoid confusion.
Could you please advise what specific settings I should use for the indicator on macOS? Since you do not currently have access to a Mac, I am happy to help by sending screenshots or a screen recording of the issue.

Thank you for releasing version 1.5 and for taking the time to investigate the macOS issues.
I have now tested version 1.5 for several more hours on cTrader Desktop 5.9 (140) for macOS.
Unfortunately, I’m still encountering multiple issues:
- The Range button is working correctly.
- However, the Expand/Contract POC button does not perform any action.
- More importantly, after disabling or removing the indicator, the Fixed Range Volume Profile remains permanently attached to the chart.
- It does not appear under either Indicators or Drawings, so there is no way to remove it.
- Refreshing the chart, restarting cTrader, and reopening the workspace do not resolve the issue.
- The only way I have found to remove it is to delete the entire chart and create a new one.
I appreciate your efforts to improve macOS compatibility, but after spending several hours testing multiple versions, I’m unfortunately still unable to use the indicator reliably.

I cant use the indicator on Replay? can you help me out
Hi @nguyenthienthanh1207,
No, you can't use this with the replay of cTrader because the replay have some limitations.
If you want to backtest while opening positions on the chart, the only way is this:Click on the Algo tab
Look for Sample Trading Panel
Add a new local instance
Click on the "Backtesting" tab on the right
Click on the gear icon and select Tick data from server on Data
Mark "Visual Mode"
Selecet the starting date and end date and click on play.
Make the chart run for a little while, so you have new bars to work with
Add the indicator to this chart and use the Quick Trading Panel from the cBot
Use the indicator normally
