How to Combine ZigZag Pro with Confirmations
The ZigZag Pro is designed to identify "meaningful" swings. To filter out noise and find high-probability setups, we recommend this 3-Step Confirmation Stack:

1. Higher Timeframe (HTF) Trend Filter
   Never trade against the "Big Picture."

The Rule: If you are trading on the M5 or M15, use the H1 or H4 to determine the bias.

How to apply: Only take "Long" signals from the ZigZag Pro if the price on the Higher Timeframe is making Higher Highs (HH) and Higher Lows (HL). If the HTF shows a sequence of Lower Lows, ignore the bullish ZigZag legs on your lower chart.

1. Volume Confirmation (TickVolume Filter)
   The ZigZag Pro has a built-in Min TickVolume parameter.

The Logic: A real market reversal (a new Pivot) should be backed by institutional interest.

How to use: Increase the Min TickVolume parameter slightly above 0. This ensures that the bot or indicator only validates a swing if there is enough activity. If a ZigZag leg forms on very low volume, it’s often a "fake-out" or a retracement that will soon be broken.

1. Volatility Filter (ATR Threshold)
   Instead of using fixed Pips, use the ATR Deviation Mode.

Why: Markets change daily. Using ATR (1.5x or 2.0x multiplier) allows the ZigZag to expand during high volatility (like news events) and contract during quiet sessions. This automatically filters out "minor" movements that aren't true trend changes.

1. Fractal Confirmation
   Enable the Fractal Confirm setting in the parameters.

The Benefit: This adds a "double-check" logic. A pivot won't be labeled until a specific number of bars (Fractal Left/Right) have closed without breaking that point. This effectively filters out "noise" at the cost of a small delay, ensuring the pivot is solid and non-repainting.

Summary of the Strategy
Trade Direction: Determined by Higher TF (H1/H4). Entry: Confirmed ZigZag Pro Pivot on the lower TF. Validation: Ensure Min TickVolume is met and Fractal Confirm is active.
