Only version 1.5 is published. I can see the new version in the version history, but there is no way to download it and install it. :(

The previous version (version 1.5) has expired since the first day of 2026; v2.2 is a stable version with bug fixes and no expiration date. You can download/update and install from the "Version History" tab.
** You can also try "Universal Assistant Toolkit - UATKit" indicator instead; which, in addition to the Dynamic Candle Timer feature, offers six other very useful features at the same time. I'm sure you'll be happy to have them together.

I have tried all of the solutions mentioned, none of them worked for me and unfortunately I was not able to get the latest version and the previous version is locked out. I hope you will be able to create a direct link for downloading the latest version. Thank you!
I'm sorry you're having trouble getting the latest update. As far as I know, cTrader has only just launched this new Version section and it may not be working properly yet.
If I find out that many users are having trouble updating, I might have to set up a new product page for the latest version.Anyway, I invite you all to try out a new indicator called "Universal Assistant Toolkit - UATKit" that I will be releasing in the next few days.

I can't use the last version, in ctrade only display the version 1.5. In the list of indicators i can't find the last version
The previous version was the initial version. I have uploaded the new version on the product page, without time limits and completely free of charge. Please download and install the indicator again from the "Version History" tab, download and update your version.
If you still have problems, I suggest you first delete the previous version and then download and install the indicator again.
If you turned on the Cloud Sync option in cTrader, Maybe it is necessary to delete the previous indicator from the cloud first.Another workaround is: from the top-right of this page, go to Account/Finances/Purchases > then find the indicator, from its options, you are able to get the latest file directly.

What are good rules of thumb to avoid over-optimization with this tool?
The Dynamic Candle Timer is a visualization utility, not a trading or optimization system. It doesn’t run strategies or perform backtesting, so over-optimization isn’t applicable.
Just add it to your chart as an aid and adjust the parameters as you feel most comfortable.
