Hi, thanks for sharing your cBot.
During testing on XAUUSD (m5, Spotware data), I noticed extremely low trading activity. Over a full month, the bot executed only a single trade sequence, and during optimization it produced no trades at all.
While the description highlights a multi-strategy system (grid, pyramid, scalping, swing), in practice only a very limited pyramiding behavior was observed.
              This raises a few questions:
Are the default filters too restrictive?
Under what exact market conditions should the bot actively trade?
Is there a recommended configuration that ensures consistent signal generation?
At the moment, the system appears significantly underactive and difficult to evaluate due to lack of trading data.

Hi, thanks for your message and for sharing your feedback.

Regarding your observations, there are a few key points you need to consider:

                  1. Data Quality: First of all, default Spotware data is not a good choice for running reliable backtests.
                  2. Testing Period: A one-month period is definitely too short to objectively evaluate the system's capabilities and its true trading frequency.
                  3. Algorithm Complexity: Learning this algorithm requires a significant amount of time. You really need to spend many hours backtesting each parameter individually to fully understand how they work and interact.
                  4. Recommendation: As a starting point, try to exactly replicate the settings shown in one of the attached videos. Then, run your backtests over a much longer period using historical data from a reliable broker, such as IC Markets or FP Markets (please avoid Spotware data entirely).

The system is truly excellent, but it needs to be thoroughly understood in order to be used effectively.

Could you also share the exact settings you used during your tests? This will allow me to take a closer look and give you more specific feedback on why the bot was so underactive in your case.

How was the strategy optimized (manual vs automated optimization)?

Hi, thanks for your message and for sharing your feedback.

Regarding your question about how the strategy was optimized (manual vs. automated optimization):
Generally speaking, a strategy should always be optimized based on how you understand the specific asset you are trading. There is no one-size-fits-all approach because different markets behave differently:

Indices typically have a long-term tendency to go up.
Precious metals have their own, often more complex dynamics.
The Forex market can also behave in completely different ways depending on the currency pair.

Ultimately, everything is based on experience, market intuition, and fine-tuning the algorithm so that it properly aligns with the behavior of a given asset and successfully follows the trend. Automated optimization can be a helpful tool, but the final adjustments and the overall direction of the setup always require a manual touch based on your market experience.
